Hi Ian, I guess this time you did not need to kneel to get this shot ;-) Better not to do it at the moment, with all this rain, I guess we will be flooded soon! This is a beautiful pictures. I'd like to see more owl time to time, but there are only two here and both are quite rare! A pity!
Actually Chris, this is an older image (I'm using WW to republish some of my favourites!). This little owl was very nervy, so the photo is a result of several tens of metres commando crawl through knee high bracken. But it was dry underfoot!
